Delores D. (Pajuoja) Fowler, 72, of Baldwinsville died peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2008 at Francis House surrounded by her family, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Grand Rapids, Minn. She was the daughter of Finnish emigrant, the late Arvo Pajuoja and Ida (Kultala) Pajuoja. She was raised in New York Mills, Minn., where many Finnish emigrants settled. She also lived in Oakland, California before moving to Baldwinsville. She worked several years at University Hospital. She was a very loving, caring and kind mother, grandmother, wife and friend to all. She will be dearly missed. Delores was pre-deceased by her husband of 47 years, Donald and three brothers, Willard, Frank and James. Survivors: three daughters, Andrea Leonard, Kristine Ryan, and Amy (Jeffrey) McCullar and one son Joel (Kimberly) Fowler all of Baldwinsville; two sisters, Mildred Ollie of New York Mills, Minn. and Lillian Johnson of Maplewood, Minn.; one brother, Russell (Judy) of New York Mills, Minn.; nine grandchildren, Joseph Leonard, Melissa Zavaski, Sarah Leonard, Ryan and Zachary Fowler, Austin Ryan and Valerie, Alexis and Courtney McCullar; two great-grandchildren, Alina and Carolyn Zavaski and one great-grandson due in November; several dear nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. Services: 7:00pm Friday, September 12, 2008 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Burial at a later date in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are 4-7pm Friday prior to the service. Contributions: Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY, 1003 Rail Fence Road, Camillus, NY 13031.
