Jane Gleason Montague, 88, passed away on Thursday, June 23rd due to sudden natural causes. Jane was born in Syracuse, NY and moved to Baldwinsville with her parents, Alberta Butler Gleason, William Gleason and sister Joan when she was around ten years old. Jane graduated from Baldwinsville Academy. Jane's professional career began at Singer Publishing and then she moved onto Crucible Steele where she met Michael T. Jerome "Mike" her first husband of 49 years who pre-diseased her. Jane and Mike, lived in Solvay, NY and then Westvale, NY where they spent years being the "cool aunt and uncle" to their nieces and nephews and spent time traveling all over the world together before they adopted there their three children. Jane's life was full as she wore many hats as an active mom. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Jerome family's plumbing and heating business, volunteered as yearbook editor at St. Cecilia's school where her children attended, served as a swimming official for several decades, acted as her family's biggest fan at all of their sporting events and she served as dedicated "taxi mom" getting her children to three different places at the same time. Her greatest gift to her children was instilling in them her deep faith in God, complete dedication to family, her constant servant leadership and her great sense of humor and willingness to have fun.

Jane and Mike moved to Baldwinsville after their children had grown and lived there until Mike's death in 2001. Several years after her husband's death, she reconnected with her childhood friend John P. "Jack" Montague Sr. The friendship blossomed into a loving marriage of 14 years. Jack and Jane married on October, 26, 2007. Jack and Jane lived in Baldwinsville and enjoyed their life following their grandchildren to all their sporting events and being present at all of their milestones.

In addition to Mike and parents, Jane was predeceased by her sister Joan Young, her niece Crystal Young. Jane is survived by her husband Jack, nephew Rick Young, children Kelly Jerome, Sarah Jerome Bednar and Shannon Jerome Craley.
