George R. Wayman, 78, passed away Tuesday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Baldwinsville to Gilbert and Vivian Wayman and lived in the area most of his life. George served in the US Army and retired from Agway. Over the years, George always enjoyed farming and grew his farm into a family business, Wayman Beef Farm that he worked with his family until his death. He also enjoyed camping and treasured his time with his family, especially his grandchildren. George is predeceased by his parents and brothers, Ivan and Gary. George is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Nancy O'Brien Wayman; children, Kelly (Jeffrey) Alberts, Robert (Alicia) Wayman, and Jodi (Anthony) LaPatra; sister, Lucy (Bill) Phelps; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Calling hours are 11-1 pm Tuesday, April 5 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville, directly followed by a 1 pm service. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association at lung.org
