My experience with Mike from the early 70's to the mid 90's was pleasurable. He had good friends that remained long term, married his high school sweetheart. He achieved a life worth living, well done.
Recently speaking with Mike after 30 years, he was generously complimentary. He spoke of the mountains climbed, we parted in agreement to do the best we could. This interruption isn't permanent so everybody behave yourselves.
Sally my deepest condolences God Bless.

Sally and Kayliegh my deepest sympathy! Mike was a great guy. Compassionate, giving, wise and mentor to many. He was a great listener. I will always remember the phone calls that started every time with a soft "What ya doing? "And always ended with laughing until you cried our your belly hearing from laughing so hard. All the times cooking hot dogs or 100 lbs of Hamburg for Taco Tuesday. Many at work loved Mike for his mentorship, friendship and his great sense of humor!!! He will be greatly missed.

Sally and Kaleigh,
Sincere condolences to both of you on Mike’s passing. He was the best boss you could have. He always had your back and helped you to work things out in a non confrontational manner. He was always there when you needed advice and listened without judgement. He gave me the pleasure of taking Kaleigh under my wing on her break from school which meant a lot to me to know he trusted me to take care of his daughter. I will always remember the popsicles on hot days and watching him cook hotdogs on the grill! I consider myself very fortunate to have worked for Mike and been the receiver of his knowledge and wisdom. RIP Mike

First I'd like to express my deepest sorrow to Sally and kaleigh. I can't begin to share the affection and admiration I had for Mike but will do my best! Mike was a kind , fair, humble, loving Husband, Father, Mentor and friend. He always GAVE of any resource that was available to him. Whether it was of his own time, counsel or a charity in need. Most people didn't realize how much he gave behind the scenes. He truly believed " Self praise is no praise at all", and Mike walked that out! I was fortunate enough to get only a small glimpse of that anonymity. By the grace God Mike was a huge influence to me in a pivotal time of my life! He never judged and always listened while making you feel you were the only person in the world. Because of Mike and his counsel I was able to become a better father and human being.Consequently I will forever be in his debt. Mike was a man of wisdom and the apitome of " Walking softly and carrying a big stick!" If ever he felt you made a bad decision all he had to do is give you that " look" , and you just knew. He fought for people who just couldn't help themselves or the underdog in society. Selfishly my heart aches because this world just became deprived of a wonderful soul. However heaven just became a richer place.
Much love,
Scott MacDonald

My deepest condolences to Sally and Kaleigh. Mike was an amazingly fun person to be around with his comedic nature and genuinely friendly demeanor. I will never forget all the times of drinking and hanging out in the front yard during the summers for so many years. He always had an anecdote or sarcastic quip to share. A truly good soul. May he forever Rest In Peace.
