Obituary of George Francis Barth

"Retired" entrepreneur George F. Barth, II's love of life didn't come to an end with his death. George passed away on December 13, 2021 at the age of 68 after a lengthy fight with cardiac issues, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. George received his bachelor's degree from Cornell in 1975. After graduating he went on to work in the industrial and labor relations field, while trying to figure out what his real passion was in life. It didn't take long, and he ultimately found this passion in making other people happy. Whether he was creating jobs for his friends, working closely with his family to ensure everyone would be taken care of, or opening businesses such as Little Learners, eXtreme Action Sports Paintball Park and the Baldwinsville Bottle and Can Return. All of these things he did time and time again to make sure people were safe and able to enjoy life the way that he did. The simplest of pleasures would bring joy to George. He loved a quiet evening with his wife, son, the dogs and of course a cold Coors on the back deck. Though, anyone who knew George, would attest to the fact that he wouldn't shy away from a night out with friends and family. Being close to his friends and family was always natural for George. He was a very genuine man who had a way of breaking down walls and bringing the best out in others. His fun and goofy mood was always contagious even in hard times. George is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ellen; a son, George; two sisters, Candace Barth Edwards and Judith Barth; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be 2–5 PM, Sunday, December 19, at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
