Obituary of Helen Theresa Sakowski

Helen Sakowski, 86, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully at home with family on Tuesday. She was born in Syracuse on March 21, 1935. Helen enjoyed playing bingo and cards with friends. She was fond of her Polish heritage, especially its food and polka music. Her truest love was her family. She was known as "Grammy" to her 6 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren. Time spent with them gave her the most joy. Always a fan of dogs, she'd usually have at least one by her side at home. Helen was known for her generosity and kindness throughout her life. In addition to her grand & great-grandchildren, she is survived by daughter Janet Coulter (Sakowski). She is predeceased by husband Henry Sakowski, daughters Sandra Letizio and Nancy Azzoto. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude.
