Obituary of Jayne Audrey Walker

Jayne Audrey (Pringle) Walker, 86, of Warners, NY passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on November 4th 2021. Jayne was born in Warners, NY on May 8th 1935, one of four siblings to Reatha and Ted Pringle. She attended and graduated from Warners High School. Her brother Ed introduced her to the love of her life David Walker. Jayne shared that one of her most memorable dates with Dave was at a lilac festival and that dark purple lilacs were her favorite flowers. Dave and Jayne were married on June 25th, 1955. They were blessed to have had five sons, four daughters, and cared for over seventy foster children together over the years. Jayne would report her greatest accomplishment was her family. Her interests included spending time with family, hosting get-togethers, quilting, bird watching, the Yankees, and had a love of animals. Cardinals were her favorite to watch. She was an active member of the Warners United Methodist Church. She loved attending "Cousin's lunch." Christmas was her favorite holiday. On Christmas day family and loud laughter would fill the house and you could always find children trying to get the last of the best pickles from her table before dinner was served. There would also be chocolate pie for dessert as it was grams favorite. Jayne worked at Witherals for a brief time with her daughter Nancy and spoke fondly of her time there. She leaves behind her siblings Marge (Don) Sheppard, Donna (Bill) Bouchard and her children -Stephen (Karolynne) Walker, James (Kristen) Walker, Michael (Tina Clark) Walker, and Justin Walker. She also had four daughters, Nancy (Malcolm) Prouty, Heidi (Tim) Burlingame, Christin Walker, and Marlynda Walker. Jayne is predeceased by her parents, brother Eddie Pringle, husband of 65 years- Dave, and her son Ronald (Cindy Walker-Peach.) She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A calling hour will be held Tuesday November 9, 2021 from 10-11 am at the Warners United Methodist Church, 6514 Canton St., Warners, NY 13164, a Funeral Service will follow at 11:00. Burial will be private in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Warners United Methodist Church in Jaynes name.
