John Leonard Hauswirth, 65, of Syracuse passed away peacefully in his Baldwinsville home on August 9, 2021. The Syracuse native was the son of late Charles and Shirley Hauswirth. As his childhood came to a close, John found a strong passion in carpentry and truck driving in which he continued to use his handy skills the rest of his life. John was known as a family man, he dedicated his heart and soul to his siblings, his children and his grandchildren. John will be remembered by his teasing jokes, his wildly entertaining stories, his powerful testimony, his unfailing work ethic, his generous smile, and willingness to jump at the drop of a dime to help anybody in need. John is predeceased by his parents, and two sons; Stephen Curtis and Jeremy Hauswirth. He is survived by his wife Gina Vigilotti, children John Hauswirth II (Heather Walters), Jessica Byers (Keith Byers), Joshua Hauswirth (Nicolette Hauswirth), Jonas Hauswirth (Carrieann Woodworth), Sable Hauswirth (Ej Northup), his 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Calling hours are 1-3 pm, Saturday, August 14 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville, directly followed by a 3 pm service.
