Margaret (Boyea) Smith, 94 years old, of Lafayette, New York (formerly of Conifer Village in Baldwinsville), went to be with the Lord on July, 23, 2021. She was born in Malone, New York, to the Late Leslie T. and Rose (Decoteau) Boyea, on July, 21, 1927. Margaret loved singing, playing hymns and of course camping. She was from a musical family. Margaret graduated for Franklin Academy in Malone, New York. She then went on to graduate from A. Hepburn Hospital School of Nursing as a License Practical Nurse in 1945. Margaret loved helping people. She was a nurse at Massena Memorial Hospital in Massena, New York and finally retired from Community General Hospital in Syracuse. She is survived by her sisters; Amelia Clarke & Lauretta Fish, a brother Leslie Boyea, her daughters; Mona Ashley, Alice (Robert) Black, Rose (Maynard 'Sonny') Pickreign, Sandy ( Edward) Hand and Diane Murakami and three Sons; Ross(Janice) Langevin, David (Faith) Langevin, and Joseph Langevin. She had one step daughter Pat James of Massachusetts. Margaret had 21 grandchildren and13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son SFC Paul C. Boyea, brothers Leon Boyea, Bruce Boyea and a sister Mary Matthews. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, July 29, at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville, NY 13027 In lieu of flowers please send your donation to Temple Baptist Church, 2295 Downer St, Baldwinsville, NY 13027 in her memory.
