Obituary of Fredericka L. Eidt

Fredericka L Eidt (Ripple) of Baldwinsville New York passed away on May 28, 2021 at her home with family. Reka was born to Frederick and Helen Ripple on April 23, 1930. She graduated from North High School in Syracuse in 1947. She married the Love of her life, Roger, on November 19, 1950. He proceeded her in death on November 4, 2012. She traveled to many different areas of the country as Roger moved to different construction management jobs. Reka spent time in South Africa and lived for 2 years with Roger in Iraq while he worked there. She dedicated her life to creating a wonderful home and caring for her children and husband. She was a past member of the Baldwinsville Garden Club and an avid bowler, enjoying many years in a league. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, Charles Ripple, her sister Helen Ripple, daughter-in-law Gwen Eidt and grandson Cole Riding. She is survived by her sister, Dawn (David) Smolnycki, children; Bradford Eidt of Colorado, Steven Eidt of Fabius, NY, and Darlene Eidt (Shane Riding) of Wyoming, grandchildren; Nathaniel Eidt (AZ), Matthew Eidt (AZ), Kelley (Shaun) Batey (TX), Taylor Eidt (OR), Derek Eidt (CO), and Machenzie (Jarrod) Harris (WY), 5 great grandchildren, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Allen and Barbara Eidt, and daughter-in-law Mary K Eidt. Special recognition goes to Mindy Davis who took care of Reka for over 7 years. They shared a special bond of love for each other. Calling hours will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Friday, June 4, 2021 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
