Obituary of Mary Ann O'Brien

Mary Ann O'Brien, 63, of Baldwinsville, passed away on February 1, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital, after a brief illness. She was a graduate of C. W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville, NY and employed as an office clerk for several years. Mary was well-known for her exquisite Christmas decorations and her delicious holiday cookies. Throughout the spring and summer, you would find her working in her garden and having neighborhood garage sales. Mary also loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and the recent additions of her several great nieces and great nephews. Mary is pre-deceased by her parents, Jesse and Eileen (Mertell) Hawthorne of Baldwinsville, NY; her brothers Robert and Leonard Hawthorne; her niece Tammy Fraser and grand-nephew Colin John Farritor, all of Baldwinsville, NY. Mary is survived by her three sisters and brother: Barbara (Francis) Russett, Marlene (Craig) Greenwood, and Diane Colon and Richard (Tina) Hawthorne of Baldwinsville, NY, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her long-time partner John Vodek of Baldwinsville, NY. There will be no services at this time. Burial will be in Kingdom Road Cemetery in the spring.
