Georgia Sanderson, 83, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 10, with her family by her side. Born in Syracuse to the late Rosario and Mary Sciacca, Georgia retired from Mutual of New York in the early 1990's. Some of her favorite pastimes included bowling, golfing and dancing. In later years she enjoyed volunteering with many organizations including Syracuse Home where she managed the gift shop for many years and was a member of the daughters group. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Baldwinsville. Predeceased by her husband, Richard in 2017; nephews, Joel Gallup and Dominic Sciacca; brother-in-law, Jack Gallup; sister-in-law, Pat Sciacca. Surviving are her brothers, S. Anthony Sciacca of Largo, FL, Philip (Shelly) Sciacca of Bernhards Bay, NY, Ricardo (Maryln) Sciacca of New Port Richey, FL; sisters, Mary Gallup of Baldwinsville, NY, Elena (Jack) Bartlett of Sarasota, FL, Jeannie (Bill) Bryant of Minoa, NY; as well as many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews. Due to COVID, there will be no calling hours; a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, January 16 at St. Mary's Church in Baldwinsville, with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Syracuse Home, 7740 Meigs Rd, Baldwinsville, NY 13027 or St. Mary's Church, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
