Obituary of Jeanne Anne Koes

Please share a memory of Jeanne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Early on the morning of December 9th, Jeanne left her home "feet first" just as she vowed she would. Jeanne is predeceased by her parents, Ross and Marguerite LeFevre, her 1st husband Walter J. Stachnik, her second husband Robert W. Koes, her son Steve Stachnik, brother Bernard Lamb, sisters Helen Karkruff (Jack), Virginia Stonecipher (Jim), and her faithful companion Dudley the wonder dog. Jeanne is survived by her son Wally Stachnik, daughter Patti Lindsey, son-in-law Larry, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jeanne was born and raised on the North Side of Syracuse during the depression era. She "never forgot where she came from" and loved to tell stories about the good ol' days. Jeanne was a graduate of North High School and raised her children on the North Side. Fresh out of high school Jeanne began work at Muench-Kreitzer Candle Co., followed by Onondaga Supply and Sundstrand. She took pride in her executive secretarial positions and her lightning fast typing skills. Jeanne retired early when she and Bob relocated to Michigan for fifteen years. In 1999 they returned home and he passed away the following year. Jeanne's home was her favorite place. She surrounded herself with things that brought comfort and happy memories, ie: family pictures, fresh flowers, books and music. Her cat, Katie, was her constant companion. Jeanne was most known for her unique sense of humor and sincere appreciation of a few good friends. Jeanne loved visits from friends and family, eating out and beer. Jeanne had a very deep and private belief in God and watched Mass for the shut-ins every Sunday. Due to current Covid restrictions, the calling hours for Jeanne will be 10:00 am - 11:30am Monday, December 14 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery in Baldwinsville N.Y. Please remember her in happier times and raise a toast to her with your preferred beverage. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the CNYSPCA in her name would be gratefully appreciated.
