Arlene Luckette, 84, went to her eternal rest on September 30th, 2020 after her third and final battle with cancer. She was born on March 16, 1936 in Syracuse where she lived and worked most of her life, including as an accountant. She volunteered as treasurer at Canton Woods Senior Center in Baldwinsville where she loved to spend much of her time playing bingo and pitch with her many friends. Her greatest source of pride was taking care of her disabled daughter, Aileen, for much of her life until her passing in 2018. She is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Ida Luckette; brothers, Frank and Joseph Luckette; sister, Fay Luckette, and daughter, Aileen Ballard. She is survived by her son Alton Ballard, Jr.; daughter, Alicia Carter; grandsons, Fr. Christopher Ballard, Thomas (Isabella) Carter, Andrew Carter, Josh, Larry and Chris Wayne, as well as many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 4, from 1pm-4pm at Falardeau Funeral Home in Baldwinsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by her grandson, Fr. Christopher Ballard, at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Syracuse at 10:00 am on Monday, October 5. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to the Canton Woods Senior Center, 76 Canton St, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
