David Ronald Karn, 88, of Baldwinsville, NY, left to be with God August 28, 2020, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born on June 19, 1932 to Harold and Louise (Bent) Karn in Rochester, Indiana. After graduating from Macy High School he joined the Navy serving in the Korean War. Upon fulfilling his service commitment, David attended Purdue University, graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering, relocated to Long Island to accept a position at Hazeltine Corporation. There he met Gail Millar and married her before relocating to Baldwinsville NY to work at General Electric where he was employed until his 1990 retirement. David was a member of the CNY PC User Group and The Syracuse Elfun Society. He enjoyed music, photography, and genealogy. Other interests included basketball, golf, and SU sports. David will be remembered for his quiet, kind demeanor, and his dry wit; always at-the-ready with a perfectly-timed "zinger". He is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Louise, and a half sister, Patricia Ann. He leaves behind, his loving wife of 58 years, Gail (Millar), sons; Kevin (Debbie) and Christopher, daughter; Patricia, grandsons; Ayden, Patrick, and Nathan, sister; Betty Lou (Robert) Marengo, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank Syracuse Home for their care and support. Calling hours will be 5-7 PM Tuesday, September 1 at Falardeau Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial to honor David's life will be 1 PM Wednesday, September 2 at St Mary's Church Baldwinsville. Burial to follow at St Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to: Parkinson's Foundation or Greater Baldwinsville Ambulance Corp.
