Richard Reina Jr., 85 passed away on August 8, 2018 at Loretto. He was born February 13, 1933, in Arnold, PA to Richard Reina Sr. and Ysolena (Rios) Reina. A graduate of Penn Technical Institute in Pittsburgh, PA, he was employed by G.E. and retired after 36 years. He was known as "Jose" to his fellow co-workers. He served four years during the Korean Conflict as a Staff Sergeant with the 48th fighter Interceptor Squadron in Okinawa. He was also a member of the VFW. He was a member of St. Augustine's Church where he was involved in the building of the Parish Hall during the 1970's. Richard enjoyed reading, oil painting, classical music, golfing, bowling and time with his grandchildren. The family thanks all the staff on Cunningham 3 for their loving care of their Richard. Richard is predeceased by his parents; brother in-laws, Leroy Gamble and Joseph A. Ferrante; sister in-laws, Philomena Lombardo, Evelyn Ferrante; and son in-law Rick Noboa. Richard is survived by his wife of 60 years, Julia Rose (Ferrante) Reina; children; Mary Ann (Ralph) Kyle and Rick (Jeremy) Reina; grandchildren, Stephanie Lynn Minnoe and David Patrick Minnoe; sister Carmen (Gamble) Barch in PA; brother in-law Philip (Darlene) Ferrante in PA, and nieces and nephews in PA. Services were held Saturday at the Falardeau Funeral Home with burial at St. Mary's Cemetery. Donations in Richard's memory may be made to Loretto Foundation, 700 E. Brighton Ave., Syracuse, NY 13205
