Please share a memory of Kathleen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kathleen Dixon, 53, of Sykesville, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home with loving family by her side, Sunday, August 2. Kathleen fought a valiant battle with cancer for two years, including participating in two clinical trials as the first person to receive these treatments. She always brought a giving, kind spirit to everyone on her medical team and others battling cancer. Kathleen was born in Syracuse and spent the last 20 years living in Maryland. Kathleen is a graduate of Liverpool High School and LeMoyne College. She was full of love and joy, always laughing and dancing. She shared her love and time with her family, friends, and two cats Fifi and Ninja. Kathleen spent her days appreciating nature, watching the birds, squirrels, and butterflies. The Renaissance Festivals were always a favorite affair for Kathleen and she was very proud of her Irish heritage as well. You would often find her zooming by in her red convertible with her daughter Alyssa. Kathleen is survived by her life partner Grant Spurrell; daughter, Alyssa Dixon; father, Patrick Dixon; brothers, Patrick, Michael (Karen), Daniel (Judi), John, Joseph (Karrie) Dixon; several cousins, nieces and great-nieces. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you share the love and kindness that Kathleen gifted to each of you during her life.
