Please share a memory of Olga to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Olga Davison White of Syracuse NY, age 87, peacefully passed away of natural causes on July, 4, 2020, at Van Duyn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born to the late Arthur and Marion Davison on July 7,1932. Olga earned a Master's Degree from Syracuse University in order to advance her career as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist. She was a social individual often playing Bridge or other card games with friends in the neighborhood. She was an avid reader and continued to educate herself throughout her life. Furthermore, she found joy in needlepointing and completing puzzles. She spent many vacations at the family camp passing down her love of nature to her children as well as many of their friends. During her retirement, Olga enjoyed volunteering her time at the zoo and multiple nature centers. Her natural artistic abilities were displayed through her passion of herbal gardening. Olga loved to explore new places. She was a passenger on many cruises and traveled to France and China. One of Olga's most cherished character was her ability to put the needs of her children before her own desires. She taught her children the value of commitment, setting personal goals and attaining them. Her children will always remember her baking cakes to celebrate birthdays as well as her sugared covered dates that were present at many holiday dinners throughout the years. Later in life, she found happiness in watching her grandchildren deplete her cookie stash. Olga is survived by her children, Garry (Gayla) White of Weedsport, NY Glenn (Sarah) Davison of Lee, NH, Gregory (Amanda) White of Syracuse, NY, Terry (Scott) Moon of Baldwinsville, NY and former daughter-in-law Jennifer White of Jamesville, NY. Additionally, she will be missed by 12 grandchildren. There will be no services to honor Olga at this time. She will live on in the memory of those who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff at Park Terrace at Radisson Assisted Living Facility as well as the staff at Van Duyn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for assisting with the care of their beloved mother and grandmother. Donations can be sent to Rosamond Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park in Syracuse, NY
