I am deeply saddened to learn of Jean's passing. She was truly a remarkable woman. I got to know her fairly well during my visits to see my father at Syracuse Home. They were table mates and Jean was like the mother hen. She was always looking out for my father. When my 11 year old visited with me, he and Jean struck up a fast little friendship. One of the greatest compliments I received was hearing her say 'your son has excellent manners and he's very handsome'. I live in NYC and she would always tell me about her time in Hoboken and at the Katherine Gibbs school. I enjoyed that time more than I can say. Sending sincere condolences to her entire family. She was a special woman and I'm lucky to have had the opportunity and honor of knowing her.
