Please share a memory of J. to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
J. William Mignault passed away on January 30, 2020, at the age of 84. Known by his friends as Bill, he was born in Syracuse, NY on August 21, 1935, and was a lifelong resident of Baldwinsville, NY. Some of his fondest childhood memories were spending time on the Seneca River racing boats with his friends and hosting impromptu ski shows. A graduate of Baldwinsville High School and Syracuse University, he loved this area. He and Ellarie, his wife and the love of his life, were very active and shared many activities and hobbies together. They enjoyed entertaining, facilitating card parties and gatherings with family and friends, camping around the USA, and gardening. Bill was active in the First Presbyterian church and cooked for events, sang in its choir, and helped care for the organ. He was passionate about being a dad to his sons and loved spending quality time with them. Over the years, Bill enjoyed playing saxophones in several community bands, driving his antique tractors, snow skiing, tinkering with model trains, and meeting with friends at local diners. He will be remembered as a man who loved his family, was quick to help those in need, and could fix about anything. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Ellarie Mignault; his parents, Justin and Virginia Mignault; and his sister Mary Mignault Hughes. He is survived by his sons, Kevin (Dori) Mignault, and Keith (Cassie) Mignault; his grandchildren, Mathew, Timothy, Daniel, Eliana, and Abigail; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Baldwinsville on Sunday, March 8th, at 2:00pm.
