Dear Barb,
Rich and I extend the deepest of sympathy to you and your kids. We love you and Todd like family and remember and now cherish our times in VT with great fondness. We worked together, played together on Lake Champlain, went camping several times, shared family birthdays, anniversary celebrations, work activities and so much more. We are crying with you for your loss and the separation, but are celebrating with you for Todd's new life of peace and joy in heaven. Life on earth is but a flicker, but life with our Father is eternal as Todd is now experiencing. We will one day reunite with Todd again and what a reunion that will be.
Sending you a BIG bear hug, we love you. Martita & Rich

Todd was my mother's soulmate. And she was the light of his world. He was always putting smiles on her face. He was mine and my sister, Stefanies' stepfather and our little brother Ryan's father. Todd was a strong, dependable presence in the lives of all who knew him. He stood up for the things and for the people he believed in.
Todd had a comforting quiet about him and sometimes he was loud with humor especially when he teased endearingly. He was as stubborn as a bull but to those he loved and cared for he was deeply and invariably sensitive, protective and kind. He was the life of any party; making sure everyone's glasses were full, even if in protest of the holder of the glass. He taught me many things including how to punch, how to fish, to drive an ATV, how to shoot a bow, among many other things including to defend what is right and true, come what may.
Todd and I certainly did not always understand each other at times, but I knew I was always loved and deeply cared for as his stepdaughter. Over the years, for any fight we had, we had ten more heart to hearts. Myself, my family as well as countless others will forever miss his grit, his humor, his warmth, his smile and his light.

It has been an honor to get to know Todd, especially over this past year. He truly exhibited a courage and tenacity for life that is extraordinary. He also reflected a humbleness of person that is so rarely seen in this generation. Most importantly, his simple trust in the Lord of creation spoke of his heart and what really matters most in this life. As with others, I look forward to the day when we will meet again.
